Very nice work. I can't paint for the life of me. Your painting looks professional. Congrats.
Thank you. It is EZ with "paint pens" from a art&craft store; try Wal*Mart. A pack with different colors for lest than $10.00.
The tips fit in the letter groves without any problem..go for it.
I put a Z06 exhaust on in place of my my Corsa Indys and an very happy.
Very nice looking butt. Paint looks professionally done. Now tell me what's up with guys switching their CORSA or BORLA for standard GM Z06 exhaust ? Any major reason; I know its not the looks...Cuz Corsa and even Borla have good looking tips and sounds great. SO what is it ????

I did it because of the drone in the cabin between 13 and 1800 RPM with the Borlas. ZO6 Ti is the hottest preforming stock exhaust system going and at a reasonable price over aftermarket systems. They last forever and are very light compared to other mufflers. Draw back is that they are not LOUD. The rumble is a lil above stock, but at WOT they let you know your power is there.
Here is a LINK to the history on them. http://www.corvettemuseum.com/specs/2001/exhaust.htm
Get the X-pipe and lo-flo cats if you haven't already. You will be happier
When I put on the Kooks headers I also had the X-pipe and hiflow cats. installed The Corsa Indy's took quite a jump in their sound level after the header install.
They were just a bit louder than I wanted but drew way too much attention when I nailed it. I swear everone in a 1/2 mile stopped and looked. I do not need that type of atttention when I am doing things that don't need the wrong kind of attention.
The Z06 exhaust tames the sound just enough so it doesn't sound like a stock car at WOT.

I'm glad you posted. I've been going back and forth on what exhaust system to get. I was going to get Corsa Indy Mufflers & X pipe for my Z06. But i hear of more people leaving on there stock Ti exhaust and adding high flow cats and x pipe. But what i'm looking for is louder. How does your new set up compare to the Corsa's in sound? Is your vette a manual or auto?

I did not find the Corsa Indy's too loud until I did the high flo-cats and headers, I all ready had a xpipe installed. I have to belive the headers were responsible for 85% of the increase in sound. If you do not plan to add headers go with the Indy's.

good mods...I know the feeling Brodah. I don't plan on putting headers on. (so I say )

Don't get me wrong. I loved the sound of the Borlas. It was the dreaded "drone" sound that got old. I was told that "maybe" the X-pipe would take 25% of the drone. But the hi-flo cats may bring it back. So I went with the much talked about ZO6 Ti and I'm happy. There are other mufflers not as loud as Borlas. GHL I hear (no pun intended) are nice w/o drone garanteed.
It's your call.

We just had a GTG yeseterday with about 25 Vettes, mostly all of them had exhaust mods (except me). My main goal to attend was to meet these guys (who were all great BTW), and to also hear different kinds of sounds and looks in exhausts. Where else you'll find modded 25 Vettes (other than a car show or a GTG). So there's a guy by the name of Carl, who does a lot of racing, and is experienced. I took a ride with him in his car to check it out. HIS recommendation was that if you ADD the "X" pipe/Hi-Flow cats, it will tame the Z06 exhaust even more....almost make it sound like a stock. I was looking to get a Z06 exhaust for my coupe, and he said, keep the "H" pipe if you wanna hear the sound. He HAD "X" pipe and high Flow cats, but switched back to H pipe to gain the sound. By using X pipe and Hi-Flow cats, you may gain a 2-3 HP, but you'll loose the roaring sound (which isn't much in the Z06 anyway).
If you really wanna go for a great sound, with not much noice GHL are it. I checked them out too.. they look awesome with huge shiny tips, and polished mufflers. Corsa and Borla are great too. So, keep your Z06 as it is... or go for another aftermarket cat back. But putting in an X pipe or just high flow cats, ain't gonna give you much difference in terms of sound... (unless you wanna add headers, but that's another subject)...
After awhile the Borlas' had a drone between 1300/1800 RPMs.So I decided to go with the raved about ZO6 Titamium system. I don't regret it at all along with the other MODs made in the exhaust.

WOW..now the expert is brought in to testify.. well I know I'm happy with the new sound on my C5 (it's not a ZO6)and others are too that made the change after having loud exhaust, I was also told that an X-pipe would take away some of the drone NOT all of it. I didn't want to take a chance of removing the H pipe, put on an X and there would still be some drone...I wanted all the drone gone. Now that is what I have NO drone and a couple of more horses and a nice sounding cruiser and WOT C5. It works for me..

Did this "drone" develop slowly or did you just find yourself identifying it more readily? I have told folks that my Borlas don't resonate, but now I listen to them really closesly and try to make sure. They are a far cry from some I've heard, and if I hadn't been asked I'm sure I wouldn't have heard it. I still may not be hearing it!!!!
