how many of you guys use "competitive mode" usually in your everyday driving? i like the idea of being in control of the rear wheels myself;but i just recently am experimenting with this, and i'm curious how others respond, and adjust to it.

Nah, I like the traction control. I have very minimal traction issues after putting my Nittos on
Sorry but CM only at the track here. No need to spin tires IMO. I run DRs to and from the track and that is when the car feals most un-kept out back.

I never bother with the button unless I go to the track. Then I use Competition Mode. TC on the newer cars isn't as interruptive as was on the early C5s. I can spin the tires with it on and never have it interfere. Sometimes when one hits a bump or uneven surface the TC will trigger but it is rare when it happens.

Either read your owners manual, or hold the button down for 3 secs, or sumptin like that.
BTW, if you have to drive completely legally, like I have to for the next year, comp mode is of no benefit. If I were able to drive as I wished(on the street), I would prefer Comp mode most of the time.
use it when i am serious and spirited...tires warm and road is warm..if not leave the t/c on...t/c has saved my bacon several time on cold tires and 1st to 2nd shifts-it will whip around on ya if your not careful
have fun
Get the cheaper model, as all you need to do is hit your reset button to comp mode from dic and you can then use any button you want for gauges, mileage etc. you can turn trac control back on anytime you like.
