Who's the best out there? I thought about getting a K&N intake kit, but I don't see too many people with it. There's a lot of other brands people seem to have on their rides. I had a K&N intake on my previous vehicle (a pretty tricked out Chevy S10) and I loved it, which is why I was thinking about going back to the same thing. Let me know, thanks.

BBK with a K&N filter..Love the look and performance.
I sell most the air intakes on the market. So this is my personal opinion. Vararam is top notch. Most kits grab ait from the engine bay, some kits require cutting the radiator shroud. They are modifying the air box for the radiator to grab "cool air" ok fine, great, dandy,.. whatever.. vararam has air forced into it from out side the engine bay where it's truly cooler air. Anyway rear all opinions on every kit and buy what you like.
If you decide on the Vararam we are selling it on sale this month for 324.99 w/ free shipping.

I like the vararam. Can not compare it to the other's really it is the only one I have owned. I had it on two C5 coupes and gained 3 tenths on my qtr mile ET. Good luck

Please help me. I do not get the "Cold Air" part of this at all. I would not ask, but the BBK website offers pictures only, no case for where the cold air is coming into the system. Looks to me like a metallic version of the stock air bridge?
BRISLS1,good eyes!everybody out there selling this stuff uses the term cold air this, that, and the other thing!the fact is,if it ain't coming from outside the engine bay,it ain't "cold" air,or ambient temp's anyway.I don't care who says what, outside air is the only way. So,Vararam is good,or the blackwing w/a hole cut in the shroud and maybe a filter cover, etc. No outside air, very, very littler gain,if any. This ain't me makin this up,it's testing in the vette mag's,etc.that prove this stuff.

Very good point. Here are ways to get outside air to your filter, from best to worse.
1. Vararam 100% outside the engine bay air
2. radiator shroud cut with sealed box
3. radiator shroud cut no sealed box
4. big mouth mod
5 fog light housing mod
6 A combination of 3,4 and 5

Air as well as water, correct? Just ask the guys who have suffered the hydrolock problem. "Cold air" intakes are great as long as you never drive in a hard rain.
