Default Competitive Driving Mode

Just heard someone say something about COMPETITIVE DRIVING MODE. Don't really know anything about it or what it does. Heard that you turn the TC off, hold button down again as if to turn it on and then you get the COMPETITIVE DRIVING MODE. Just curious.....Thanks...

CDM is actually one facet of the Active Handling package.

Here's a link that explains, in laymen's terms, the basics of the package...including the Competitive Driving Mode.

Competitive Driving mode is Traction Control Off / Active Handling On. This allows wheelspin during acceleration but keeps Active Handling engaged to help out if the car gets out of line.

Some of the early C5's required that the car be stopped and holding the button down for 10 seconds. Later models allow you to engage Competitive Driving while moving with a 5 second press of the button.

Whenever the car is shut off it defaults back to TC/AH on.
