I did the hood liner mod a few weeks ago and love the look. I trimmed the first one with a utility knife which worked but it didn't fit like I wanted. I got the idea of using my bench top grinder to round the fasteners to fit inside the chrome plug. Works great because you can hold the plug and and make it even all around which makes it fit tight inside the plug once you bend the prongs down Hope this saves someone a little work

 

Lookin good I did mine a couple of months ago. I cant decide if I like the chromer caps but I think I like it better than the black.
