Default 99 C5 side molding

How come some coupes show molding coming out of the side vents,
and others of the same year, don't have any side molding??

Thanks in advance,
Zoso1951

You are referring to body side molding, it was an option.

The BSMs, RPO Number B84 were an option for all C5 models and all years.

The moldings are an option that you could order with the car. I personally like the looks of the molding, but many here end up taking them off if the car came with them as they like the smooth look.

Personally i like the side molding. Just adds to the look of the car. Seeing one without it just looks naked to me or like somethings missing. Side Molding is a definate PLUS in my book. Can't wait to see what it's gonna look like when it comes out on the new vettes. Wondering how it will look.

Default thanks all for the info

I kind of like the smooth look, but I could also get used to the molding. This will not be my only Vette, but it will be with me until
I will it to my son, who is also a bowtie boy. He is 20, in auto tech
college in his last quarter, and wants to work at a chevy dealership.
Until he figures out it would be better to run your own shop

Thanks again, and I'll post again, after we get home from Bellingham,
with my 99 coupe!
