Default Door Edge Protector?

Just got back from Cleartastic web site and it reinforced my worry. Does nobody sell a strip of something to protect the door edges?
You know the grocery store parking lot where you leave a chunk of your paint on the car next to yours? I my town, you can not park alone no matter how far away you get. You just end up in front of another store. Especially now that malls have taken to the habit of having 100 steak houses pop up on their circumferences.

Anyway, door protection would be cool, and Cleartastic : why no front bumper kit?

- Thanks all

From a sad experience, do NOT use one of the stick on strips that goes over the door edge. I put some on my 2000 and found quickly the gap on Vettes is much smaller than on my old truck. Scraped the %$% out of the door jamb. :o Seemed like a good idea at the time, though...

See the right car. Peel and stick, it has saved my car and my wives. It could be painted body color. My niece has one on her black vette and loves it. It can be cut to what lenght you want.

Wonder what those door protectors really look like on the car. Hard to tell from a pic. But if they are mostly invisible, not a bad product. Unfortunately, all that does is protect other cars from your door. You still have the problem of other doors banging into you. I guess the BSMs would work, but they get scratched too. Hard to win in this situation.

Thanks everybody.

Embarassing, but it has become clear to me, that I am the problem. I just bump the door trying to get out, and it slams my neighbor. I think my body-side moldings are absorbing the impact from any others that happen to hit me.

Check www.xpel.com . I used their stuff all over my car. PM me if they don't sell little strips and I'll send some to you. Just promise to NEVER park next to me. Tom

I have clear edge protectors on my pewter baby. Barely noticable, and certainly much better than chipped edges.
