i was worried about sound levels from what i had been reading from others that have them. now that they are on the car i am supprised at how quiet they are on the outside. the idle is very nice. throaty but not too loud. the sound over all is a little more high pitched than i expected but sounds very nice and tuned. i am used to my 75 corvette with a 383 that has lots of mods and straight pipes going into two resonators at the tips. now that is loud and very deep. i love the sound of the b&b pipes from the exterior, but the drone in the interior of the car in 1-4th gear is extreamly loud. no talking and time for a new radio. 5th is fine and 6th is wisper quiet. i am going to be getting a partition and maybe some kind of sound killer for under the carpet soon. can anyone tell me what brands and venders you have used for these mods. and how much did it quiet the drone down? drone or no drone i still like the way they sound though.
i thought about the x-pipe thing untill i heard it took away the popping on decel. i love that sound. it has a very nice deep rumble. i think the partition will more than likely be my answer.
I would not get a partition from PFYC..got one and it was not of decent quality, and did not fit well.........not bashing the company but just letting you know what I got from them.
I've got the Ghl bullets with their x-pipe and still have some burbling on decel, just food for thought. The partition ZO6-Jim was talking about is from A&A Performance, a forum sponsor you'll find on the left side of the page.
...I have sound deadening and it does help the sound DB level at times...
...but most of the time it is just drone that goes with the enjoyment of having headers, hiflo caats, x-pipe and B&B bullets
....just installed Bullets and it sounds great, but very loud. I have the X-pipe and believe me the burble on decel is very much still there. One nice thing though, the BBs in a can sound I used to hear has disappeared...lolol

Your hearing will suffer long term. My suggestion is that you trade for my Borla Stingers. That would save you hearing and save you money on a partition. You may still need a new sound system though!
Seriously, nice choice. My buddy Toque has them on his ZO6 and when he goes by me on the road I can hear them over my stingers and stero several car distances after he passes.

You don't understand...I'm over 50.....I can hardly hear my B&B Bullets so I have to keep my RPM at redline so I can make sure my motor is running...
