I bought a White one from someone on EBay 3 years ago for $300. They had a C% with both tops and never used the solid so they put it on Ebay. NEver used, $300. Cost me $125 to have it painted Electron Blue.
Funny thing, NOW I hardly ever use it......

Probably the most common cost on the C5 parts for sale section is about $500 for one in excellent condition. New they cost about $1300-1400 from a dealer.

$125. to get the top painted doesnt sound too bad. I see ads in Corvette Fever for C5 hardtops from Astrotops. A new product,they already had clear c5 tops. I did not see it on their web site yet. So I was going to call800-239-2659.Im looking for the same thing.

I have a Torch Red Hard Top that i might be willing to part with. It came with the car yet i always use my glass top. The top is in excellent shape.
