Default computer tune question?

I have a 01 zo6 stock exept for short shifter and a tune by mti.
My question is = Can i add a vararam and not mess up the dyno tune. I would think that it would but i still wanted to post this hoping i am wrong. And if so what other mods could i add without messing with a 4 or 5 hundred doller tune?

IMHO I would say that it will change your air flow by to graeat of a value and cause tuning issues. Especialy with an 01. The filter housing on an 01 flows less than say an 03, 04 and several 03, 04's have thrown lean codes after installing the Vararam myself included. Although this would not require you to get a complete tune just a little tweaking to correct the AFR.

Yep, it'll through your Long Term Fuel Trims off. But comp can compansate 25% +/-. To get optimum perf you'll need some minor tune adjustments. The vararam will cause positive fuel trims, meaning a little lean, and when trims are positive they freeze and are added to your WOT Power Enrichment multiplier causing a rich condition. So, with out a re-tune you'll be a little lean until WOT then a little rich.
