Some Z06 Help please!
Hey guys, I was just curious if anyone could help me. I just bought an 01 Z and on my way home I realized that this model did not come with factory fog lights, nor does it have the HUD. I was curious what all I had to do to put the fog lights in and the factory HUD. Im not worried about getting a compatable cluster because I already have that I really just need to know I guess the parts/hardware I need for the complete installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry bout that, thnx for moving it to where it belongs, but infact I just found out that the Z06's never came with fog lights to begin with.......goes to show how much I know. So I'm not worried about that, but I would like to find the HUD projection kit, or everything I need minus the cluster to make this car have HUD. Thanks Kevin

Hey Kevin,
I have a 02 FRC with both Fog’s and HUD. The Fog’s don’t do much for me, but the HUD is very cool for MPH display. Spend the fog light money on fat sway bars!

Fog lights are easy to add. Get a convertible trunk release switch with fog light option. You can get PIAA fogs and mounting brackets from Litewarehouse. Tuan Le is the owner and is great to deal with. He can answer questions too. Check in the C5 Parts For Sale section for a post about PIAA fog lights.

Dang guys im very impressed on the quick reply's!!!! Thank you guys a lot I will check out all these links and hopefully find me a sweet HUD unit, as far as the fogs go, I think I might just leave them out and get a vararam. Thanks guys I'll keep ya posted as to what I do. Kevin

I also installed the PIAA 1100x lights with the brackets from litewarehouse.com. Excellent service and good prices. The main reason I did the install was to have lights for the flash-to-pass feature. These lights are great. Even with the Z06 grilles and the C5reations.com nylon mask covering them, the lights are powerful enough that people can see them in the daytime and pull over! Worth the time and money. Just make sure to get the factory fog light switch and follow the instructions litewarehouse can send you. They will function the same as the factory installation. GM has already installed the foglight fuse and relay in your car.

LOL, indeed on my 00 FRT I had them and did quite a bit of work to it also, and as soon as you would hit it, they would jump up. I duno its a thought, I think I'm going to stick to working on the HUD unit for now.
