wavey doors

Do all corvettes look like the finish on the doors are wavey looking from either the front or the back...in a way you would see dings. and if so would the be because tehy are mad eof fiber glass?

Yes they're all that way... the car is actually made of SMC (sheet molded composit) like a kind of plastic figberglass. The doors are just wavy... part of the reason stock paint jobs aren't the best b/c painting on SMC is like painting on an orange.

thanks for the info..the reason i was asking was beacause im am thinking of buuing a used 2002 z06....just wanted to make sure that was the situation...thanks again

Luckily people wont be looking at the waves on your kick *** 02 Vette... they will be in awe and jeleous of the monster machine you are driving!!!

Dont forget PICs when you get it!!

What color is it? May I suggest an Electron Blue 02 Z06!! I have obvious bias towards that particular car!!!:

A few waves on both doors on all vettes! Some are just worse and dark colors dont help. I have afew waves from blowing the doors off fords! Its in the paint mostly and could be wet sanded but its part of the vette,standard eqp.
