good taste about cars! This car was never crushed, droped or raced,no
scathches,no dents and also it has a clear title. I took care of it like
it was my own baby. I'm located in London,United Kingdom, and the car is
here with me. I've just moved here and I need a new car(a new RHD). I
have to sell it in US because don't worth to register the car here
because the car is LHD and I have to make a lot a changes to be able to
register and drive it here wich will cost me alot of time and money and
i decide to sell it back in the States. The car is in perfect condition,
with no rust, no damages, never been in accidents. Paymanet will be done
in a professionally way trough BidPay. If you don't want to keep it
(this is not the case) I will pay the shipping back on my expense and
you will have to inform BidPay and they will send you the money back. In
case you don't receive the car (this is not the case to) BidPay will
refund you the money, 100%. I will manage the shipping of the car at no
cost for you. You will pay only the price of the car, $8000 but to
eliminate any concerns i will accept a down payment for $4000 trough
BidPay but they won't give me the money until they have your
confirmation that you have received the car and you want to keep it. You
will have 5 day to test the car and after this day if you really love
the car you have to send me the remaining balance. If you are interested
to go ahead with the deal, please reply with your full name and shipping
address in order to contact BidPay to open a case ID# and they will
contact you with all the details regarding the payment.
Thank you for your interest.
Best regards
So I did a search on the web and found that this is becoming a popular scam. There's several variations , but they all start with high-end cars at ridiculously low prices. They use US locations too and will tell you that the car is being stored at a dealer or other facility, so be careful.

works for me....
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
These are all scams. Is there some way to prosecute or charge these people with criminal offenses?
Or maybe someone could think of a way to scam them

8000 for a 2004? come on now....way way way too good to be true.

So make up some " personal info" and see what happens.
I ran into the same thing when I was looking at a 600 HP Supra with all top-of-the-line mods for $8,000.00 The guy had the same story along with pictures of the car, the title and an ID card. When I asked for something very specific....i.e. a copy of his photo ID along with a pic of him standing beside the car, holding the title and a 12 ounce soft drink can, he never replied again. (Even if he had pics of the car, the title and himself, requiring the soda can to be in the picture would pretty much require him to have the car and title in his immediate possession to go take the picture).

A nicely modded 04 corvette for 8,000 dollars.
