If you go to the Tire Rack website and read about this kit (which I think is a well thought out product) what you'll find is that each time you use it, you'll need to purchase the refurbish kit to replace the goop and also the inflater hose. It sells for an additional $25... This turned me off to the kit and I purchased one of the GTO spares. It's a great piece of equipment and only cost $85 shipped.
I think they do say or imply that the above kit will not harm the TPIS, but you will need to remove them to clean the goop off of them
