My friend has a 2002 coupe. He put a car cover on it and left it out in the rain over night. The problem is that the fabric pattern is now imbedded in the paint. What can he do to get it out if anything? He took it to a detail shop and they did an o.k. job but you can still see it in certain light. Thanks.

never heard of such...but it really needs to be buffed out...
I dont think a detailer can do what a professional can do...
oh then throw the cover away...
...just let the rain fall and keep the vette paint protected
I have never heard of such a thing either. As suggested above throw that thing in the garbage. If you know someone with a random orbit polisher and a fine cutting compound that should fix it up. Keep us posted.

The cover may have been treated with chemicals...I'd get a quality cover and throw that other one away...did he try claying it? Might work...

Ditch that cover (at least for outdoor use).
Also, did he let it dry the next day?
If claybar doesn't do the trick, he may need to hit it with some 3M Finese-II, then some kind of quality Swirl/Scratch remover. Let us know what works.
