Electronic brake control module.

Trying to find out where its located on my 02 - C5 I'd like to try and change it myself. Dealer wants $400.00 just to change it and it looks like its a plug and play unit.

Anyone know how to change this or where I can find it on my C?

Thanks

Below is a pic of mine on my '02. It's the left side of the ABS module in the pic that has the plugs in it. It unplugs from the BPMV after you free it from the bracket. It's pretty easy to change although you won't have a Tech II tool to check it out when you're done so you'll need to road test it carefully afterwards. I can send you the procedure to replace it if you send me your email address.

Yeah, thanks I just found it but it seems you have to remove the radiator hose and possibly the intake duct to access it. But no biggie.. Also looks like I can get to it from underneath…

Good ol' dealer just trying to steal your cash!

It will make a good Saturday project! Next up for me is replacing my dead oil pressure sensor that mounted under the intake manifold. Imagine the dealer cost for replacing that little part!!!!

I know what you mean but hey even if I do the work myself the part alone will still cost me $950.00. Heck I'm considering just leaving it and driving without ABS or active handling. Its no problem anyway it’s like driving an old muscle car around, you just have to be careful in the rain and making fast turns. I’m still looking though to see if I can find it for less…
