No fog lights and why would you ever want them on a muscle car?
Just bought the car wanted to see if I was getting everything i was supposed to...origionally when i saw the car and had the head lights on I could have sworn they were there but i guess it was just the day time running lights lighting the grills up.
I installed the PIAA driving lights with an OEM switch. Total cost less than $180. I find I seldom use my headlights at night with the PIAA's unless I'm at freeway speeds.
The PIAA's are far better than the OEM fog lights. Your better off not having them in the first place and installing the PIAA's.
Make sure they get adjusted correctly, particularly if you run them as low beams sometimes. They put out great light, but are real annoying to oncoming drivers if set too high.

Anyone have the install procedure for fog lights?
What's the $180 parts list?
I am thinking of putting them on my Vette since it didn't come with them.
TIA,
Joe

.........Any questions?
Also, the PIAA lights greatly enhance night visibility vs. the crappy headlights. And to call the Z06 a "muscle car" doesn't do it justice-- it does far more than go in a straight line.
I think my original question still stands. Fog lights do nothing more than annoy oncoming traffic. If you want increased lighting then just get better headlights.
I bought the OEM switch from Gene @ The Karsop for $25 shipped. Plugs right in, install the PIAA's to the correct fuse and press the fog light button and "let there be light".

We are not talking about FOG lights, at least I'm not. The PIAA's are DRIVING lights that luminate much better than the goofy headlights C5 have. I had to play around with the angle as on coming traffic didn't like being blinded. I have them perfectly aimed so as not to bother on coming traffic yet I blaze a path with these puppies.

You'll need the PIAAs and mounting brackets, both of which can be obtained from Tuan Lee at litewarehouse.com for a total cost of about $200, last I checked.
I highly recommend you get the fog light/trunk release switch panel from a coupe/vert; there are instructions on this forum on how to wire the PIAAs into the wiring that the stock fog lights uses (even though the Z doesn't have the lights, it has the wiring) changing out your trunk release only switch for the fog/trunk switch takes all of 15 seconds. You can get the switch panel from forum sponsors Fitchner Chevy, or Fred Bean Pontiac for about $35 last time I checked.
Overall, the install is easy and the forum instructions have pictures.
