Micro Relay problem
I have 02 convertible, the other night I took it out and it was running great, I stopped off to have a drink and when I came out it was dead, I finally got a jump strong enough to start the motor.
After doing some investigating it seemed like the cigarette lighter had shorted out, I came to that conclusion because I could here a slight buzz and when I would remove the lighter it would stop.
During all of this after a few minutes the #37 Micro Relay (MONITORED LD) inside the car on the passanger side would start buzzing real loud and things would start to light up like the light under the hood, I switched another relay # 39 (HTCHTRK REL) to see if the # 37 was bad and it did the same thing.
Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong. I really do not want to have to call a towing service to take it to a dealer, if I could get it running good enough I will take it but right now I have nothing.

Have you recently taken out the center console and disconnected the cig lighter? Check the connection first. Make sure it's seated right.
