Personally, I'm not a big fan of the inserts so I would probably go with the blackouts.

I think the screens look good on the front, but no one will ever see them in the back. Go for black out and tint the windows to match.

Thanks I am leaning toward BlackOuts, but not 100% yet.

Of course it's all a matter of personal preference, but I love the blackouts and don't personally care for the grills. But if IL law for black outs is a problem, you may want to go with the grills. Black outs are illegal in CA and I was only able to keep mine on for a 3 months. In fact I just took them off yesterday to comply with the fix-it ticket. If I complied by the 21st, it was only a $10.00 fine. If not, the fine goes to $250.00 and I have to appear in court. If I did not appear, the fine stands, and my license would be suspended for one year, and a warrant for my arrest would be issued! Gets pretty stiff for non-compliance.

Soooo, if you just took them off, are you selling them. I'd be interested in the entire rear set.

Actually I didn't have to remove the 3rd Brake Light or Back-Up light lesses, so I'm going to keep those on. But if you're interested in just the Tail Light lesses, make an offer.
Thanks,
Richard

I think the brakelights show through just fine..I've driven behind my car..In fact, it seems that there is a greater illumination contrast with black over red as opposed to red on red...

Thanks for the feedback everyone I will probably decide this weekend,,we'll see who else responds, thanks for the pics too they always help

One thing I am concerned about is blackouts and IL law,,a few of the chicaog folks have them but I forgot to ask about this....I know they sometimes crack down on no front plates, and I don't want to add blackouts and give them another reason to pulll me over....this is why I have not tinted my windows yet. My Dynatechs headers and Loudmouths already draw enough attention, not to mention I am driving "pull me over red" color

Greetings Frank

I don't see my post helping. I have the grills, but love the blackouts I may switch someday. Here's a shot.
