I have an O2' Z and was wondering if any one has used the new QTP C5 headers? I would get the kit with the X-pipe and cats. I want to retain the stock mufflers. It seems to be the general concensus that the stock manifolds and exhaust are adequate for non blown motors. I am probably going to run an F13, and a TNT kit with supporting bolt ons.
Would spending $2,000 on headers be worth it? QTP claims 30+ rwhp on regular C5's. So what does that translate to in a Z? Any opinions or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
A local Z06 ran an offroad system and pulled 34 hp and 31 tq at 4800 rpms. The z06 manifolds flow alot better then the standard c5 manifolds. But the z06 with just an intake and stock tires ran 11.6@119mph at englishtown. Either way call us we can help you out.
Personally I'd go for it *and* get the setup that has the cutouts pre-installed! A set of QTP cutouts is an absolute blast - with headers, cats and a stock exhaust you get a pretty good extra exhaust note, but for that bit of extra power and earth shaking sound, nothing is like flipping a switch and having an open exhaust
Though I haven't seen it up close, the full setup looks very slick!
If you get the headers and cat back with cats it will cost you 2 grand. I don't know if that is what you meant by 2000K. But LG's are more expensive than that. I think the cheapest you will find is around $1,500.
