What type of material are you looking for? Wood? a tent like garage? If you are looking at the tent type, be sure to get a sturdy unit that will be anchored to the ground.. as high winds will actually destroy substandard tent units.

No not wood ...I've seen aluminum frame and almost like a blue shrinkwrap top ...not sure if that will hold up in high winds or not ...something I probably would take down in the winter and put back up in the Spring ....

I put up one of these for my sons Durango and it is bolted to cement blocks and all the side can be either rolled up or down. Pretty slick unit. Bought it a t Costco.

Be careful what you set it on top of. Damp ground under one of those would do more damage than good.

Check with a place like Lowes, Home Depot, etc. They may sell something like that.

There should be some carport / garage / storage shed guys in your area. I think you can get a nice one car or maybe a little bigger for $600.

Best of luck.

I original bought it because I only had a car port and wanted better protection from the elements. Shortly after, the military moved me into a new home with a double car garage. Now it is just dead weight that I don't have the weight allowance for. Too much junk in the garage. It is a 10 X 8 and came from Harbor Freight Tools. Unfortunately, you are a little far away and it would cost more to ship than I paid for the thing. Good luck in finding one. There are plenty out there.

Yeah I live in Wakefield. My wife works in Wilmington at Agfa. We should get together sometime for a beer. I might have a buddy of mine build me a carport and a small garage to put my vette in. If I can get him of his azz.

I live in lexington. you can come by and see mine and another neighbor has one. I started with one of these single car ports and expanded it to double the size. If you do a search on car ports/canopy use the specs from the companies in canada. I will see if I can find the company I bought mine from in CA since they were cheaper. DO NOT use top fence rail from home depot. my first year it collapsed and put a dent in my VW hood and it was not a heavy snow year. Buy top thick gage fence rail from a fence company and be prepared to spend alot of money to get a good support structure. This is impt for our heavy spring/fall storms as well as snow since you may decide to use it in the winter for storage (ie snowblower). If you do use home depot fence rail I would sleeve it with galvined steel pipe. You also need heavy duty rope or plastic coated wire to secure the whole unit to the ground. Your idea is a good one and I would suggest it to anyone needing storage and who is unable to put up a garage.

also found this cruise info for tomarrow

I found this posted on Yuppie racing. I will be attending along with two other 2004 Corvettes. We will leave from the Milford MA area around 8:00 AM. Anyone want to join us?

John

**************************************** *************Guys- We are working with the following car clubs to put together an Exotic Cruise through Vermont:

New England Lotus Lovers / Acura NSX Club Northeast / Pantera Owners of New England / New England Viper Club

This event is open to all types of cars that can keep up.

For owners in the Eastern MA, and NH areas... we will be departing from the
Hooksett, NH Rest Stop / Northbound Side of Route 93...at 10AM on
Saturday July 23rd.

For NY/CT, Vermont, and Western,MA Owners... we will be meeting at 11:15AM
@ the Quechee Gorge Tourist Info. Center on Route 4 in Quechee, VT.
Just follow Route 91 North to Route 89 North...Route 4 is the first
exit in Vermont.

We will be stopping for lunch at Quechee Gorge around 11:30AM

From Quechee Gorge we will travel slightly west to Route 100 North. The
scenic ride begins and continues all along Route 100. We will be
traveling over mountains and through the valleys, lots of old farms and
small towns along the way. Traffic will be very light, it's a very
scenic ride through the countryside of Vermont.

We will be ending the main part of the cruise at Ben n' Jerry's Ice
Cream Plant in Montpelier, VT...stopping for a little refreshment. The
NSX Club will be traveling North to Burlington for dinner. If your interested in joining them you need to make a reservation and pre-pay for your meal... here is the sign-up
form http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/atta...achmentid=16925

Burlington, VT is on the shore of Lake Champlain with Mountains
all around. It's a great place to get away. If your interested in an
overnight, Hotel info. is on the NSX Sign-up form.

Send me an e-mail if your interested jefftorrey@comcast.net , we need a head count for lunch. Because of the different Clubs involved it would be much easier if everyone could bring some cash to cover lunch.

Thanks,-Jeff Torrey
