Does anyone have any experience with open type car haulers? Looked at on by Travel-Lite at Bloomington Gold. Nice, but expensive. I live several miles from a highway on oil and chip roads. It's absolutely miserable getting to the highway in the heat of summer. (97 here today, oil bleeds through and the rocks pick up really bad) Was just thinking of a trailer to get to the highway, a pain yes, but at least I could enjoy my car more. Any help/opinions are appreciated. Thanks.
Be sure to get two things for your open trailer... first is a set of mud flaps for your truck and also get a metal front shield for your trailer. It will keep the rocks off of the front end of your car.

Here is what I just ordered:http://www.texasrollback.net/option.html
I can get you in touch with a distributor if needed. It is not cheap but easy to operate and made for our cars which are low to the ground. He cuts a good deal for Forum members.-O'Neal

Thanks for the replies. The Texas rollback looks pretty good. Did you say you could get me in touch with a dealer ONeal? Live in Illinois, smack dab in the middle. Thanks.

Give them a call (ask for Jerry) and see what can they work out. Tell him that Silas O'Neal referred you and that you are a member of CorvetteForum. They are very friendly and always easy to access. You can always call him on his cell phone with no problems and that says a lot with all the customer service issues that are out there with various vendors. He told me he will be able to try and service anyone anywhere. Here is their contact information.: JABCO DISTRIBUTORS

Here's another roll back to consider. Bought mine last year and love it.
Car loads on and off with ease and no ramps needed!
Here's the link: http://www.kwikload.com/
Here is the all aluminum 16' with two-foot beaver-tail and hidden ramps from trailerworld.com in Bowling Green, KY. I just bought it to tow my wife's race car. If interested, go to the website and e-mail asking for Adrian.
Forgot, pull two latches on each fender and one person can easily lift it off for getting in low doors.
Hey Jim...that is very cool...
I wonder if the chin spoiler on StuzVette could make the climb...
Thanks Stu, not sure if it would clear or not. I think there's a 15% incline in the loading position. I think it would clear O.K.
That is going to be one of the first things I check when I get my car out of the shop.

I really believe its may be possible...
...I hope to post the reason for my optimism later today...
btw looking forward to seeing the results of your recent mod
