lol, no i read it in one of the forums where someone acyually explained all features and how to's about the c5
I think someone is pulling your string.i am curious, are you going to drive your Vette at 30000 feet? I have never heeard of such a part on a Vette, but I guess if you are willing to pay the bucks, there is someone out there that will install one on your car.If you do get one installed, let us know how it works.
your vette is probably very well sealed with the windows up andwhen you close the door.
behind the carpet for the drivers rear quarter panel is a small panel that helps equal the pressure in the car and outside the car.
for my car the trunk needs to be pushed on to close it completly, but with a window open it closes much easier. the pressure equalization does not work as well as GM had planned.
I found the panel when I tore all the carpets out to put in sound insulation.
There is, indeed, a flapper valve in the rear driver's corner just above the storage bin that is supposed to relieve cabin pressure when the doors and hatch are closed with the windows up but it doesn't work very well.
Is this a put on?
Are you trying to get an old guy like me out in 100 Deg. heat crawling under my C5 just to say you got me or what!
Pacthes - you made that drawing - right!

Patches is not putting you on. It's on the driver's side, just to the rear of the driver's side wheel well. You'll have to peel the rear compartment carpet back to see it.
Yep, it's there for sure. I found it a couple of weeks ago after pulling up the carpet to look for my wheel lock key. No key was ever found, but the pressure flap was.
