"its a a4 also" well im powerbraking to around 2 grand or so... and coming of the line... just wondering were my problem is
here is my time slip
60ft.=2.205
594 ft=8.693

I used to own a 96 z28 with bolt ons and i ran 8.80's with it.. and im absolutelt positive my vette is faster... but any was thanks..
You may have the standard rear end ratio, which is quite tall for gas milage. There was an option for a 'performance' ratio of 3.15 with the A4 which helped the acceleration some. Fortunately my A4 has this ratio. Many people install even shorter rear end ratio for even better launch and acceleration. I recently had a local GM specialist shop install LS-1 Edit. Besides making sure the air fuel mixture is right-on, it allows total reprogramming of the transmission shift points and the quickness of shifts. While I don't drag race, so I don't have timeslips, I can tell you that reprograming the transmission made a HUGE improvement. My C5 powwrtrain is mostly stock, having only a Haltech intake filter/airbridge, and a ZO6 titanium exhaust, and with the LS-1 edit work we pulled just short of 300HP and 306 Torque at the rear wheels on a HOT day of almost 90 degrees and low humitity.Had the day been cooler, it would have broken 300HP. So....some of the things that 'may be wrong' are the rear end ratio, and lousy 'milage and emissions' transmission programming. Do you have a lot of tire slip? The stock run-flats are very slipperey tires. You should also make sure that your traction control system is off. I am sure that plenty of others will chime in with other ideas.

yah im pretty sure i have the 2 series rear end ring and pinion..., my car has 40k miles i dont know if thats what the problem could be, but i am running a type of michelin tire now and there not realy slipping at all... i think its to do with the gear and like u said i need to tune on the tranny,
My 2000 vert a4 with 3.15's runs a 2.08 60' and 8.7 1/8th. It's on stock tires and I launch from idle. only mod is Blackwing. I suppose the gearing could make the difference in 60' times, but I don't know about the 1/8th. My trap speed is usually 61-62mph. That should tell you something. You may be getting more wheelspin at launch than you realize. Try putting it in 3rd gear and just punch it from idle.
That's where the problem is, but there could be many reasons for your poor 60ft time. Reaction, tires, etc. What tires are you running? Also, are you starting in 1st or 3rd?

i dont think im getting much wheel spin.. im running 335 series tires.... i am leaving it in 3rd im not manuel shifting..... i acutally think its the gearing... i dont know though lol... it pissed me off
I really doubt if you are spinning on 335 series tires with a basically stock A4. Also I noticed reaction time noted as a possible problem. Your RT has nothing to do with your ET's or trap speed. I am not sure why your 60' foot is so slow. A couple of things that could slow you up though, do you have TC on? Are your wheels heavy aftermarket wheels?
I am interested in how well the 335's fit on your 10.5" rims. You are the first person I have seen do this. Do you have any pics?

How did u get 335's on a 10.5" rim? I thought 315's were pushing it, what tires and wheels do u have?
Yah there 335's but this is the best proof i have... sorry but hopfully you can tell..... yah im not really getting any wheel spin....
i was thinking of some kind of stall, does any one know were you can get a stall for a a4 c5???? and what labor prices run to put one in thanxx.......
DONT HIT ON ME ON THE LICENSE PLATE, ITS GETTING CHANGED... WAITING ON NEW ONE TO COME In
