Here's a little inspiration for you. I met this gentleman at the ALMS race at Limerock. What a nice guy. I thought you'd like to see his race car. Not nearly the effort you are putting in with respect to the body but a pretty cool car none the less.
That's cool and all but what's with two rear spoilers? I would have thought if it were an imitation of a race car, he'd have the C5-R spoiler but not that stupid stick-on one on the back also.
Oh I like that alot.... I wonder who made his graphics?? I know of a guy someplace back east near florida. I wonder if it's the same guy? Where did he get his rear wing? Sweet looking ride! Thanks for showing me!
Do you have anymore photos of his car? I would like to see the hood and rear ring up-close. Also do you have this guy's e-mail address or phone number so I could ask about the graphics? Thanks!

Sorry, I don't have any different photos. The hood is just a standard Lemans Blue Z06 hood with standard CE stripes. He has added the dual headlights up front at the license plate location. I thought the wing was a C5West wing but I don't recall. I'm sorry now I didn't get his email address but I know that he got the graphics from a couple of conversations with Doug Fehan to secure permission to use them. They are exact duplicates to the Lemans winning C5-R

As you can see in this pic, the real car has a deck lid spoiler and a wing. A spoiler and a wing are different things. Spoilers can help with down-force and help a wing create more neg lift, but they do not make neg-lift like a wing.
Awesome pix Paul! Thanks That would be cool to see up close. But with Blue ... WTH is with the Caravaggio AND the race wing?

Dave,
The pics are courtesy of professional photographer Sam Bailey. This car was really cool. The owner was such a nice guy. He managed to get Olivier Baretta to pose for pics inside the car. He also owns a DSOM C6 and had that at the track as well. The funniest story he told me was about getting pulled over by a Connecticut state policeman and being accused of stealing one of the cars from the track. He was able to talk his way out of it. This is a street legal Z06. The Carvaggio came first, the rest of the inspiration came later.
Very cool car. Well done graphics and stickers. Thanks for sharing the nice photos. And, I even like the race inspired raised rear wing. But, not the Caravaggio hair lip along with it. The owner more than likely removes the taller wing during daily driving. And, retains the shallow wrap around Caravaggio style wing for a more subtle daily driver look. Cheers.
