My Optima red top died on me, I charged it up, car starts but dies after about 3-4 ft of travel. I switched bact to the original AGM battery and it does the same thing Any idea what could be causing this, I did a search but came up with nothing. TIA

Doesn't sound like a battery problem. Even if the alternator wasn't charging, you could still drive it for 25-30 minutes.
Column lock recall was performed, gauge shows it is charging. It will sit and idle all day long, it is just when I let the clutch out and start rolling. Also after it cuts off it will crank back up fine.
Sounds like the column lock issue which cuts fuel upon movement. Take it to the dealer that did the recall. Or hope Bill Curlee chimes in. He really knows his stuff.

Try your other key. The chip in the key can get dirty. The car will go into anti-theft mode. Worth a try.You can clean the chip(resistor) with contact cleaner.

Attention anyone out there with an MN-6--- Do not get the column lock recall done or you will be having this same problem. The GM recall for MN-6's only reprograms your computer to shut down your fuel supply. Just refuse the recall like I did and you will avoid this problem.

Dealt with an issue like this several months ago...My bet is column lock. Check my threads for more info.
Thanks for the replies, I pulled the key, waited 10 seconds and all is well. I feel pretty stupid.
I'll bet you'll see more and more of this if you've done the recall. I never saw the 10 wait message until AFTER the recall was done. Now I get it at least 2-3 times a month.
They did my recall and turns out after a little snooping, after the recall, there is still yet another recall that goes with it. Supposedly it was done but I still get the message.
I remember having to do this when I changed the battery to the red top, according to a GM tech if the voltage drops below a certain point you get the pull key message. I have driven it a few times since this with no problems.

Hmmm, that's interesting. Perhaps that has something to do with me getting that message. I know that it doesn't take schiet for the battery in my car to die. Perhaps it's getting old.
