Default It's That Time Again

Hey, I'm going to clean up my baby this weekend. 2001 Torch Red Vette. I was going to apply two coats of wax to it this weekend. I was wondering if it would be safe to put the wax on my glass top? Never put anything on it before. Just usually wax the body. Would it be ok to use my regular wax on the glass top or should i get something else? Here is what is use:

Wash Car With: KIT Carnauba Wash and Wax
Wax Car With: Mothers Califorina Gold Original Formula Carnauba Cleaner Wax (Safe for Clear Coats)
Wax Rims With: Turtle Wax Chrome Polish and Rust Remover

Thanks

Just finished waxing...including the windows.

No problems with the windows after being waxed. Used NXT too. It is a matter of personal taste and opnion.

I now use waterless carwash on my windows and nothing more.

Usually better to ask these type questions over in the Car Care Products section of the Forum. Several knowlegeable people hang out there and one of them should be able to help you. Good luck.

I use RejeX on all my windows, and even the glass top.

I have waxed the windows on all of my cars for years. No problem at all! Just keep the wax away from moldings and weatherstipping.

I always wax the windows on my cars... works just like Rain-X and it's easier to apply (none of the streaking/oily film you get with Rain-X)

Use Rejex on your wheels, mirrors and front fascia, it does an amazing job.

If you have polished rims, they are clear coated just like the body. Never use anything harsh on the rims, and use whatever you would use on the body to clean and then protect. In other words, wash them with car wash soap and wax them as you would the painted surfaces.
