I test drove my soon to be corvette. But while I was driving it I noticed that the oil pressure would be at 45 psi during normal driving conditions, but under heavy acceleration it would raise to 60 psi. Is this normal? I have never had a car that did that.
The last owner worked on a C&C machine and made a oil filler cap out of billet steal. So mabye that has something to do with it. Mabye the stock cap has a valve in it to keep the pressure regular. Or the fluctuation might be normal.....

Any suggestions, please.
Thanks All.
It's normal for the oil pressure to go up when accelerating. That pressure is good. Now if it goes the other way you have problems.
