Active Handling Problem
highway my car will suddenly jerk to the left for a second and then
straighten out. At the time this happens I will get the message active
handling on the DIC. The event only lasts a second or two and then
the message disappers from the DIC and everything goes back to normal. Has someone out there run into this before and could you
let me know where I should start troubleshooting.
Sincerely,
Bob Jory
PS: Thanks to everyone that responded with suggestions on repairing
my loose door panel. That saga continues as I speak. After 4 visits
to the chevy dealer they still cannot get my door panel to remain
fastened at the bottom.

Although the Vette does not have the same cause as the Silveradoes, Tahoes and Suburbans have it could be a similar problem. 2001 through 2005 truck owners in the Northern states are getting unusual activation of ABS and Stabilitrak. The truck problems are being caused by corrosion on the wheel speed sensors. The fix is to remove and clean them, however, the ones on a Vette are sealed into the bearing and cannot be removed and cleaned. Areas to check on the Vette are ground connections in the system and signal lines in connectors to make sure there is no corrosion in those places. Also check the wiring to make sure it hasn't been damaged.
