Default Four Post Lifts

Due to some unforseen circumstances, I'm losing the 2 car garage that I currently have to store my 'Vette and other "car guy stuff". I'm going to have to build an addition on to my garage at home, however available space, as well as esthetic concerns will limit me to a 1 car addition. Because of this, I'm planning on purchasing a 4 post lift, so I can park the 'Vette and Z-28 in the available space.

Have you, any of my fellow Corvette Forum members, ever owned one of these lifts? If so, what brand did you have, and what are your likes/dislikes about that particular brand.

Thanks in advance!

Default 4 Post Lift

After some research last year, I purchased an Eagle 7000lb 4 post lift. The Eagle was the best package price for the lift plus options I needed and the order leadtime was only a couple of weeks. Eagle units were also highly recommended at a local Vette show. I had no issues with delivery, quality of the product or installation (you can view the entire delivery and assembly process on the Eagle website).

Other brands I had on the "short" list: Backyard Buddy, Autolifters and Rotary/Revolution. I recently heard that Autolifters was out of business but I have not verified this. Backyard Buddy and Rotary/Revolution are both great units.

I can't begin to tell you how convenient the lift is for winter storage, oil changes, mod work (Corsa install was a breeze), car detailing, etc. Best garage investment ever.....

After doing alot of research, I chose the Rotary 4 Post Lift. It is certified by the Auto Lift Institute and is used by alot of car dealers ( Lexus ) and by all Mavis Discount Tire Co. It is a very heavy duty lift and comes with drive on ramps. I ordered the 110 volt model because I didn't want to have an electrician come and hook up 220 in the garage. The only difference is that it takes a little longer for the 110 volt version to lift the car to the highest position. It is a free standing lift that can be bolted to the floor if you desire. I chose not to. I had a Co. come and deliver and install the lift which cost a little extra but it was worth it because I got a 2 year warranty for parts and labor free. The lift costs $2900 but I paid $3600 to have it delivered and installed. I took two guys 6 hours to complete.

I have an Autolifters M6. I hadn't heard that they might be out of business. Just my luck haha.

At the shop I was recently working for we used an Eagle out of the owners garage. It was previously in his garage for about 3 years. It seems to be standing up fine to daily use in a shop for the last 6 months.
