Default Head light adjustment

How do I adjust my head lights to go up and down? One of the lights is shinning too low and i wanted to make them even.

Thank you

Raise the hood and headlamps. Remove the black bezel that surrounds the headlamp assembly, three scews hold it on.

Looking outward from the engine compartment side of the headlamp assembly you will see two brass adjustment screws with torx heads on them. One will be easy to see and the second is lower on the assembly. If I recall the top adjusts side to side, and the lower adjusts the up/down. I'd mark on the garage wall the current pattern, and make adjustments from that reference.

Important; Turn the adjustment screws VERY SLOWLY and not far, they may be stuck and the nylon adjustment gears inside will strip out if your not careful. So if you don't see movement of the headlamp pattern on the wall while turning, stop before you strip them out.

Good luck.

I shot the adjustment gearbox with dry spray lubricant after rounding out the torx heads. Found a socket that fits the outside of the adjustment shafts perfectly. Moral is, lube and may opt to use a socket.........
