Just thought I would pass this on to you fellow CF members. While I went to pick up my Corvette I wanted to protect the front end as much as I could from bugs and rocks so I bought myself some of that thin plastic sheeting sold by the yard at Wal Mart for 97 cents a yard and cut up some pieces for the front nose piece. This plastic is pretty thin and clings real well to the paint on your car but I used soapy water to wet it down and then pressed on the plastic. If you have a squeegy you can get the air bubbles out and then you can not see the plastic on the car until you get right on the place you installed it then you can see the seam. The plastic is pretty forgiving as far as contours and edges. But for the price it is a cheap way of protecting your paint. I used it for protecting my 62' while going to car shows. I plan on making out some patterns if anybody is interested in putting some of this plastic on their own cars. Because it is so easy to use it could go just about any place on the car. Right now I installed some right behind the rear wheels and on the flare just in front of the rear wheels. I plan on placing some more on the lower fender area behind the front wheels and under the front air inlet of the nose from the tag line down. Hope this helps somebody.

Good find Bud What section of WalMart should we look in?
Thanks,
Richard
This stuff is in the fabric section of all Wal Marts and costs only 97 cents a yard. If you lay it out in the sun it really sticks to things so it can get on your nerves while working with it. But once it is on it stays and you can't see it.
