anybody got a link on how to remove the center counsel. I have to do my CLB install and I cant find the instruction website that showed how to remove the center counsel, I can only find www.97vette.com, and they dont tell you how to do it.
that one tells you the same thing as www.97vette.com does.
It tells you when you are removing the knee pannel, that you should "pry back" the part of the center councel around the key hole.
I'll do that as long as I KNOW 100% it wont snap and break, other wise I'd rather just take the center counsel off.

I did it twice with no breakage. (Disclaimer- We and any other members of CF, it's affiliates, and it's membership make no guarantee that your results will be tha same. )
I did the CLB last week. You really don't need very much pressure on the cosul tab to move it our of range of the knee plate. Just go slowly and make sure the plastic is not cold. nI found dislodging the knee pad from the drivers side more difficult. the worst was seperating the wires under the dash when you have such limited space.
After you get all four screws out slide your and along the left side of the panel from the bottom working your way to the top and it will just pop loose.
