Default FL Leghumpers "new" project begins. I finally bit the bullet and started. Heads/Cam..

Well... after weeks of collecting parts.. I have finally begun the heads and cam swap on my car. With a special thanks to Brian (C5 KIDD), Chris (Stangkiller), Max (Max01GreenMachine) and others...

Brian and I started tearing it down this afternoon in my garage. After 5 hours of work between the 2 of us, it is completely torn down. Heads are off. Cam and oil pump and all is out. It is down to the bare shortblock now (not all the pics are online yet, MANY more to follow). Chris and Max stopped by later to bring some tools and all. We will be continuing work on Thursday

Stage II ported heads by C.N.C Cylinder Heads in FL (tweaked a lil..hehe)
LG Motorsports G5X3 on a 112 LSA
FAST LSX 90mm Intake Manifold
90mm LS2 Throttle Body
42lb FMS (Bosch) Fuel Injectors
TFS Chromemoly Pushrods
Ported LS6 Oil Pump
LS2 Timing chain
85mm LS6 MAF
Halltech Stinger.
Powerbond Underdrive Balancer
Billet Aluminum Oil Catch Can..
and the other assorted crap in my sig at the bottom (headers, etc..)

We WILL be flycutting the pistons on Thursday night as soon as the flycutter setup arrives from LG...

More pics here http://www.myvette.us/StevesHeadCam.htm (big thanks to Chris for hosting the pictures)

Here's a couple..
Start of Day 1

"Near" the End of Day 1

More to follow......

It's a straight forward job takes time and a little creativity getting the steering rack out.

You guys make me sick! I love doing that sort of thing and you all are having all the fun!

Sounds like a nice setup and if you are offering rides, I would love to feel the power! when you are done!
