... i got a low engine oil on my dic so i cruised to the wallymart 'bout 5 miles down the road at nothing more than 1200 rpm and picked up some 5w-30 ..
dont think i have to worry about any damage to the bearings or anything. however

Like I added above, the sensor did it's job. Hurray for the electronics they can be your friend.
I park my Vette on my kwiklift like this:
Sometimes I get a "low oil" message when I roll off and then it goes away after awhile. I always check the oil level to be sure, so I think it's just from the way it sits at an angle when it's parked. I don't mind this particular sensor being sensitive.

Gotta ask: You park it on a ramp so you can get a rolling start? No really, do you always park it like that? Why?

Just curious...
Yeah, I have to push start this hunk.
Yes, I do always park on the lift this way. I don't have the depth to my garage to be able to lie the lift ramps down and use the 2 foot drive on/off ramps needed when the ramp is flat and close the garage door. If I laid the ramp flat I'd have to put the drive on/off 2' ramps down, drive off the lift and then remove them so the garage door would close. So I just keep the lift in the inclined position and back up on it. This also makes it easier to lift the car when I want to. Here's some more pics to show how the kwiklift assembles.
As you can see when the lift is flat you need different ramps than the approach ramps show. Also you can see than the approach ramps are at the very edge of the garage floor. No room for the 2' drive on ramps.
Don't mean to h-jack the thread Nibs just answering Red Racer's questions.
