A couple weeks ago I ordered some new tires for my C5 from a forum member who is located in Houston. He told me via PM that they would ship out last Monday. Well, here it is the following Tuesday, and still no tires. I'm assuming that they should be here by now but it's starting to smell like a scam. Hopefully this guy isn't stupid enough to try to scam a cop. So, what do you guys think? I've sent him PMs and email trying to get tracking info, but haven't heard from him yet. How much longer should I wait before setting the "long arm of the law" in motion? TIA.
Edit: These are being shipped to the Indy area.

I had to special order tires from a local store (in minnesota) and the had to get them from their warehouse in Nevada and it still takes about a week. And that is a majior company.
I shipped two tires UPS from MI to Texas. Ups said they would take about 3-4 four days to arrive with Standard Ground transportation.
If the person shipped them with the US postal Service there is no telling how long it will take.
Have them send you a tracking number. No tracking number then I would begin to worry. If you mailed the person a check they maybe waiting for it to clear before they ship them.
I live in ohio. I bought 4 rims from a fourm member in TXS. All four rims were in seperate boxs and shipped via USPS. They all had the SAME post marked date. One rim took 5 days, 1 took, 6 days, 1 took 7 days, and the last one took almost 2 1/2 weeks..........

If he shipped them, there should be some sort of tracking number. Ask for that and then go online and see what the status is. When I had my wheels and tires shipped from a vendor, it took a little more than a week to arrive.

It depends on how they were shipped. I had a set of four new tires shipped UPS from an Ohio warehouse to my doorstep in Alaska in two days. It cost me $150 but was worth it.

That's the part that has me worried. I've been trying since last Thursday to get him to send me that info, but he's not returning my PMs or emails.
