Although the fuel pump is cooled by the fuel...
...I was under the impression that it was not only cooled being submerged in fuel but also that the flow of fuel was a coolant as well...
if not...I will keep StuzVette topped off from now on...

Hmmm. I've had 4 C5s (see sig) all daily drivers in TX and I always let the fuel go until I see the Reserve Fuel warning and have never had a problem with the fuel pump. So what am I doing different?
Actually it was a 1982 MY used in 1981 first.
There were no 1983 cars sold. There is one on display in The NCM at Bowling Green, KY
