Another dumb oil question

The reason you want to change it once a year, even with little mileage is no matter how few miles you run the car, the hydro carbons interact with the polymers in the oil and over time, create an acidic polymer string , you will not lose lubricity but your oil will react to the gaskets, so change the oil.

My buddy was at the Corvette Museum recently and met Dave Hill (Chief Engineer on the Corvette) - they discussed this very subject. As Dave Hill said "...change it per the DIC..." and, "I love to see these cars driven!"
My buddy did a cross-country run from California to the "Birthday Bash" this year. I hope to join him next year....
