I just got back from trip with the 50th Anniversary Edition Registry to Asheville, NC. Check out the pic in front of the Biltmore Estate.

http://www.benjaminporterpanoramics....er_prints.html

We drove 1948 miles. I got 25.8 MPG.
A4, performance rear

When we went to Nashville in 2003 I got 27 MPG but that was before:

Vararam
Velocity Stack
Borla Stingers
Predator Custom Performance Tune

I have an A4 w/3.15's, my best MPG to date is 26MPG, mostly highway. I only have 10K miles, so the engine may not be broken in quite yet

I have Halltech Stinger and a tune and didn't notice a change in mileage

28 -- 29 mpg at steady 75 on the Colorado interstates. Mechanically stock Z51 C5 with 3:15 final drive. (On summer fuel, probably 2 mpg lower in winter.)

Gotta love that!

Default Traveling to BG..

I got 27.5 MPG traveling to Bowling Green for the Cruise In. I have never checked it around town, but it is pretty good. My car only has 26,000 miles on it so that could be a factor.

I will say this; for some reason some people exagerate their gas mileage, never understood why.

6 speeds can get more than 30. My friend says his gets 32 highway. My 03 A4 w/3.15's gets 25-26 on 32psi.

The A4's 4th gear is roughly equal to the manual's 5th gear. Once the 6th gear is used, the rpm really drops.

Borlas, 2.73 and K&N is 20-22MPG for a combined city and highway use. The use of the old 150 shot drops me down around 16 to 18MPG

Sometimes the Fuel you use make a difference also.
I agree, and have similar MPG with my A4, Halltech stinger, ZO6 exhaust, LS-1 edit, 3:15 gears. UNLESS I put my foot in it, then town can drop to 15~19 range. True, ...Gas is not all created equal. Brands are different. In Oregon, the state requires 10% methanol blend in the winter months, no choice in the matter..ALL vehicle gas has it blended in.
