Does anyone know a good solution to removing overspray from the paint & glass of my c5? THe idiots at work didnt paint their bodies with the doors closed a couple of days ago. Now I have a fine coating of overspray on the entire car. I am going to have my employer pick up the bill, but didnt know what the best solution was if I took it somewhere, or if I did it myself. thanks much for any input.
I had heavy overspray on my black C5 when I bought it, and a clay bar didn't do sh*t. I had to use an orbital polisher and 3M rubbing compound to remove it. Try the clay on a small area first, but if its not working, don't waste your time.
I have used rubbing alcohol and elbow grease to remove paint from my wifes MY C-5 and it took the (unwanted) paint right off with no damage to the clearcoat. This method was recommended to me by a professional painter and it worked great. Try it in a small area just to be safe, if all is well just continue by pouring a small amount onto a soft cloth and gently rub the overspray off.

my car now feels like sand paper.
I do not believe this will harm your paint, but the use of PS blaster to soften the paint and Goofs to remove. Had the yellow line paint all over one side of car after the road crew did not properly dry and allowed cars to cross lines. A real mess to my paint but used the combination of the two and it was a ez removal by HAND.
As other said, use a clay bar. A few years back, I bought a used Mustang. The owners family owned an asphault company. The car was left on their grounds with all sorts of stuff going on. The cars exterior was loaded with bumps all over it because it sat for 6-9 months. Anyway, I had my own detailing business back in the day. I took one look at it and figured i can get it out with some Micro-Compound etc. Well that didnt work, and another detailer that I knew, mentioned to try a clay bar. WEll I did and it worked wonders. All my cars (which are kept immaculate get clayed on a regular basis.
