I must have a black cloud over my car. I swear, if it's not one thing, it's another.
Here's the latest: Set climate control on "auto" - at 70 degrees (even tried 65). Air conditioning button thing comes on for maybe 5 seconds. Then the air conditioning button goes out. In that 5 seconds or so, though, the air does not feel cool. It's blowing warm air. Arggghhh.
If anyone's had this problem, please chime in. Am I looking at a spendy fix???
I should add that the car was just in for electrical problems (which the mechanic couldn't find - even though I told him my suspicions of the light switch on column). I know he spent an awful lot of time trying to chase the problem down. Could he have possibly done something in troubleshooting the light problem maybe? Like a fuse or something? Anything logical that he would've checked that may have affected AC?

I'm sure it's not the freon. If I push it, the AC button will stay lit for a few seconds, then go out. If I switch to "auto," it will stay lit for a few secs, go out and then blow warm air. Then it will come back on by itself and stay on (for maybe 10 minutes) and it's blowing cold air... then go out again.
