I am sure many useful suggestions coming, but try this. Turn key to on position, grab steering wheel and violently shake it left or right to let the pin retract. let us know
Hard to believe you have been on this forum for two years and you are asking this question. You can try turn your ignition on and off (do not start the engine) and yank hard on the steering wheel.

This worked for me both times mine locked up: Start the car and let it run for a few minutes. Then shut it off and try it again, I was told that low voltage had something to do with it and by starting the car I charged up the batery and it unlocked both times I tried. The last time I am glad it worked because I had to drive it to an appointment for the CLB!!!
help help me please. My column locked and it won't unlock, what do I do.
In looking at your signature, you've got everything you need except one thing---a column lock bypass. A member for 2 years and 1000+ posts. Come on--get real.
doh, I know I know, the CLB is the very next thing on my list. I did get it rolling again, I had to get towed to the dealer (which I hate with a passion) but they did get me going. Towed at 2:00pm back on the road by 4:45pm. Why I never got the CLB, I gues that ol'phrase you hear some people say "I thought it would never happen to me" silly me. Ok I've taken enough lashes, CLB here I come
