Momo Shift knob removal?

Momo Shift **** removal?
ok, I'm baffled. I've found some directions regarding some pins but they are inside the holes and there is no corresponding hole to 'knock' them out with.
How in the hell does this thing come off?
I have my new leather boot and I'm dying to put it on.

On mine there is an aluminum cap that threads off the bottom of the ****.
Once you unscrew that, there are 3 small set screws that fasten it to the shifter handle. Loosen those, and the **** should lift straight up off the shifter. You'l also find a rubber adapter bushing that's slipped over the shifter threads, don't lose this if you plan to re-use the ****.
