Back to the 10Sec Pull key problem
I just recently had this problem 2 times after I had the recall on the steering colounm and putting in a new sound system. I know so far that there is no clear answer yet to this problem on this web page.
But does anyone know if this problem can occur while i'm in the middle of a turn. I don't want to make a turn and then my vette shuts off and my steering colounm locks ups. Is the wait 10 SEC problem only happens in Start up of the vette or can this problem happen while i'm driving (by the way it's a 2002 Convt.).

I had the column lock done and mine still does it from time to time but I don't think you have anything to worry about. Mine has never given me the wait 10 sec. message while driving
