I haven't been out there but we have a Corvette-Only, two-day High Performance Driving Event on Aug 13-14th at the Reno Fernley Raceway about a half-hour outside of Reno. You're welcome to join us if you want a lot of track time, some good instructors, and some other Corvette drivers to associate with.
If interested, shoot off an email to FunDriver@AffordSite.com. In any case, you'll enjoy the track time and learning experience.
I did the same class at Spring Mountain last March and all I can say is you're gonna love it. Best $$$ I've invested in my car so far. It will really make you aware of what a great car the Corvette is. The instructors are great, its very well organized and I would recommend it to anyone.
I went through the 3-day course in November 2002, when it was called Bragg-Smith. It was a great course.
On the 1st day we broke up into groups of 3 or 4, I got tall Dave, and my daughter got to ride with him in a Camero SS. He was leading us around the track showing us the proper line and commenting on the 2-way radios about our driving. He was not up there to slow you down, quite the opposite he will go as fast as your driving level will dictate. Here I was going flat out trying to keep up with him. After the session I asked my daughter how she liked it. She said Dave had a cup of water in one hand, the mic in the other, looking at us in the rearview mirror and was driving with his knees.
