I searched and didn't come up with anything, on my new C5, the passenger side door widow when you close the door the window glass at the middle top hits the little "tab" in the middle of the roof frame, and creates a gap of about a half an inch between the widow glass the rubber trim.
(I don't know how well I explained that) I can take a pic if someone will post it.
I don't know if this is a common C5 problem or what, but I have to roll down the window, close the door and then roll up the widow, so that is closes under the tab instead of hitting the outside of it.
Sounds like the window or door needs to be adjusted. Does the door fit good or does it look like it is off when you look at the gap between the door and body of the car?
the doors fit fine. if you close the door gently by pressing in on the window it closes fine, but if you close it without touching the glass the window hits that little tab.
I would say the window needs to be adjusted then. Now as far as how to adjust it someone with more knowledge than I will have to chime in. Which I'm sure will happen real soon.
Had the same problem with my 04 C5 pass side. Leaked water when I washed it. Under each door there is a little rubber inspection plate with a rod and bolt at the end. In my case the bolt had actually backed off the rod and was laying on the top of the rubber cover.Tightening the bolt on the rod adjusts the position of the window. Since my car was under warranty I took it back and let GM make the adjustment. All is OK now.
