I have a thread in the wheel forum, but no one's biting.
What do you guys use to polish your bare metal wheels? I got a used set of 505a's and using Xtreme metal polish and microfiber towels it comes out worse than when I started (lots of fine scratches!)
Best place to ask these type questions is in the Car Care Products section of the Forum. Generally you can find several current threads on this topic there. Also several knowledgeable people who may best answer your questions hang out there. Good luck.
I have CCW's also, Chip at CCW told me to use Mothers Mag Polish,,so far that has worked well with Microfiber towels or polishing cloth you can buy in any car care products section.
I just tried this orbital polisher on my wife's BUDNIK's wheels. I used it along with GRIOTS aluminim polish and metal polishig pads. Incredible difference not to mention the time it saved. Here's the link:
Thanks everyone for your input. I really like the pneumatic polisher, have to put that on my wish list.
Looks like Mother's is the consensus; do you guys find it at a shop or do you have to mail order? What kind of towels do you use to remove the excess? Microfiber towels I think are what's scratching mine (whole 'nother debate!!)
