Hey guys.C-2 guy here. My neighbor has a 90-91?ZR1 I forget. he's a old rich coot. he bought the car new. Has 2400 miles on it. Says he paid $70K new?. Red on Red loaded.Might sell it to me. A local corvette shop says they will give him $28k whats it worth??thanks
That's a toughy.......I have a feeling he's going to loose a buttload of money, and he's barely gotten to enjoy the car with that few of miles on it........what a shame.
I'd take a guess and say it's worth mid to upper 20's with such low miles. A car like the ZR1, most of the time you can't go by resources such as the NADA, Edmunds or KBB to get an acurate value. Especially with low miles like this one has. $14K for a 2400 mile ZR1? Hell, I'll buy 5 everyday at that price.
With the miles that low..sounds like a good starting point..By the way it did sell for around $68K new, some 90s went for more as the demand was high the first year. Try the zr1.net for lots of info.
It is definitely worth mid to upper 20's with those low miles. Everyone I have ever seen with low miles and in excellent condition has brought at least mid 20's as a final sale price. The ZR1 was the King of the Hill back in the early 90's.

$28K is not a bad price the shop is offering. $14K is way too low for a ZR-1. If you can get it for around the $28K or a little less, it would be a good buy. Just remember, check to see if your local dealer can work on the car - it is pretty complicated.
ck.your vette mag's for those price guides they publish every now and then.28 grand for that car is a good buy,in my opinion.the reason i never bought a zr1,yet anyway,is because i could get a c5 for what they go for!if he's on crack, you may get it for 14 grand! good luck.p.s. go over to the c4's for sale section,zr'1 part, and see what they're asking over there.
Be sure and check out the other online forums as well. There are some that have very large for sale sections. That way you can get an idea of the current market value. I picked up a 91' last week to go with my 04' Z06. The motor in that old guy is pretty sweet
ZR-1 was a great car. If my neighbor had one for sale for even the 28k, I'd buy it, not tell the wife about it & ask him if I could keep it in his garage until I found a way to tell my wife about it They are truly works of art until they quit working, then you need to find a real artist to fix it. Good Luck on your decision. Just wave the wave Jerry
