Default Anyone using the Predator Programmer

Is anyone using a Predator programmer? Would you recommend? Why or why not? Did you notice a significant difference in performance? Feel free to elaborate.

Yes, I do.

Do you have an automatic or manual? Do you have any mods - headers, intake, catback?

I have an A4 with 3.15. Only "performance" mods are Halltech Stinger Intake and GHL Magnum Exhaust.

Then yes, a Predator is a good purchase, IMHO.

You can delete Torque Management, firm up your shifts and kickdown, up your redline, change your shift points both in RPM and MPH and it will give you a "mini-tune" - i.e. a small performance tune. You WILL notice a difference in response and driveability after the minitune, and changing the shift points makes your A4 more responsive.

Also consider purchasing a shift kit and a tranny cooler. Very Cheap investments that will wake up and protect your car.

Good luck

I've had one for over 2-years. I have an MN6 and got it because of the things you can change, like tire size, cooling fan settings, get rid of Torque Mgmt, gets rid of CAGS.

If you are going to be racing you might want to consider LS1 Edit. You can modify Air/Fuel mixtures for every cell (every 50 RPM I think) so you don't have any spots of hesitation.

I Love mine and my fiance' loves hers!!! You can make adjustments like the guys/girls above mentioned. PLUS there tech support is AWESOME!!! Johan at Diablosport will also make you custom tunes via email!!!!! I raised my idle RPM b/c I thought 550 was to low & 750 is about perfect.

Go For IT!! You will love it and it IS worth what you have to pay for it!

Mine made a notable difference in performance with no real engine mods except twin flow K&N air filters and a Magnaflow exhaust system in my six speed.

Plus, I just used it to check and reset a trouble code in my wife's Trail Blazer.
