Need modulator that powers dashboard cluster lights
My dashboard instrument cluster light go on and off intermittently.
So I need a new high
voltage modulator that powers the cluster
lights. This is a small @ 4inch item. GM
dealer told me they only sell the whole cluster
with it, which is a lot of $.
Does anyone have just the modulator or know
how I can get one? It is small and just plugs into the cluster, so it is ridiculous to replace the whole instrument cluster.

GM is getting bad about that lately. I had a drivers side power window quit working and once I took it apart the only thing wrong with the regulator was a little plastic piece had broken that held the cable in place that the motor drives the window up and down with. But I couldn't buy just the little plastic piece I had to buy the whole regulator and drive motor for $174.00.
If you could find a part number on it you may be able to get the part from a electronics supply facility.
